ICE4SAFETY™ VersaCard™
The ICE4SAFETY™VersaCard is a unique tool designed to give users optimum flexibility when deciding how best to
employ the ICE concept. It can be oriented as is - and marked on to provide an additional means
of recognition for whatever it is attached to or being used with, or... ...you can use the ICE4SAFETY™
Image separately by cutting the 2" x 2" image out with scissors and attaching, or... ...use the
image and the "In Case of Emergency" text to provide those unfamiliar with the concept faster recognition that
it is being used for emergency preparedness purposes. If you review the web blog here and at www.ice4safety.blogspot.com you will see some additional views of the ICE4SAFETY™ VersaCard™ and ways you can use it yourself.
More to come here as well.
Multiple Configurations for the ICE4SAFETY™VersaCard™
If you were a Nursing Home Facility or Fire/Rescue/EMS Provider
wanting to improve upon your emergency preparedness program for community residents, this tool can
be used to mark the windows/doors refrigerators/prescription bottles/KeySure Boxes and entryways to name a
few....use in conjunction with the Medical Info Form.
There is nothing limiting the
size of the VersaCard to business card size either...If this were a Poster, it could
be used on Construction Sites to designate the Job Site Emergency Action Plan.
In a Factory setting, the Image can be used to identify/consolidate many
different safety and health related notices into prescribed areas and maybe reduce the number of signs plastered
about.
On site safety orientation for visitors and temporary
employees alike can be enhanced by adoption of the Image to designate emergency and safety info and equipment.
This can take seconds to do !
Magnetic Cards use VersaCard to
Support ICE INFO VIAL Program.
If you plan on establishing an ICE Info Vial Program
in your community to enhance the ICE Card and Phone Preparedness Tools, you can have the VersaCard Design used to print up
magnetic cards that will stick to refrigerators.
Make sure you distribute the stick-on cards as well because
some folks have refrigerators with nonmagnetic stainless steel doors. They may also prefer to keep the vial next to
their beds or on wheelchairs instead.
Place another sticker on the door to alert EMS/Rescue that there is
emergency info available. Fold up the Emergency Info Form and place inside - dated. Don't
forget to have a signed copy of your Advance Directive forms as EMS will generally attempt to honor written
wishes if they find them nearby - even if you are alone.
So, if you are a public service agency or radio/TV
station going to promote ICE then you might consider this tool as a part of your program. If there is a program already
in place from a local pharmacy chain (or not) they may wish to share the use of the tool as a community service as well.
